It is both an historical account of the heritage of the relatively unknown Gulun Kungfu style of kungfu and a detailed explanation (with photographs) of its kungfu forms and their relevance to everyday life. Many kungfu students will have heard of Master Wu GuLun who escaped from the Shaolin Temple when it was so tragically destroyed in 1928. The knowledge that Master Wu GuLun carried with him has been handed down through the family to his great-great-grandson, Master Wu NanFang, who would like to make this heritage available to those interested. About the Author: Master Wu NanFang, born in Henan Province, China in 1962, is the Fifth Generation Master of Gulun Kungfu. His great-great-grandfather and the First Generation Master Wu GuLun, was one of the worthiest monks in the Shaolin Temple, who had embodied the Chan Wu teachings and whose kungfu was of the highest level. In about 1869, when China was facing turbulent times and the Shaolin Temple was in danger of being destroyed, Master Wu GuLun, was instructed by the Temple's leaders to leave the Temple and stay hidden until more peaceful times occurred and he, or his sons, could return to the Temple and restore the precious knowledge and kungfu skills that he had acquired. Sadly that time never came and the Shaolin Temple was tragically destroyed in 1928. Master Wu GuLun had, however, passed on all his knowledge and the secrets of the Temple to his son, Master Wu Sha
